All clients under the age of 18 may only take part in our waxing services with the express permission of their parent or legal guardian. This adult must also accompany the client for their appointment.

Yes! As a matter of fact, we have three ways to save! If you are a new client, you automatically get 20% off the cost of your first appointment. If you pre-book your next appointment, before you leave the salon, you automatically get 10% off your next visit. Every single time. For every friend you refer that books an appointment in either of our studios, you get a $5 referral credit, which you can use against the cost of your next service.

Our clients say “Oh, that was not as bad as I made myself believe it was going to be!” Most of the pain is in your head (and of course, ridiculous and very funny scenes in movies featuring Steve Carell). My advice? Get in! Get it done! Get it off your list! You will enjoy it later. What most people never tell you is that the first time is always the worst. The more regularly you wax the less it hurts, especially If you commit to waxing on a regular basis. We recommend every 4-6 weeks.

For reasons mentioned above, I highly recommend coming between 4-6 weeks after your last wax. If you maintain this schedule, the hair does not have time to take a strong root, which means less pain for you. Also, coming in every 4-6 weeks ensures minimizing “stubble” time and helps keep you looking and feeling smooth!

Before a trip or any special occasion you should try to build in a few days between waxing and your special occasion. Your skin needs some comfort and care after a wax, and some redness is normal for a few hours after. In other words, don’t get a wax the morning of your wedding. A day or two before will be just fine. Please make sure you book in advance as we frequently book 1-2 weeks out.

Georgi’s Waxing Studio is your partner in achieving smooth and glowing skin. This means that there are certain things you can do to help get the best results from your waxing session. The Do's Come with super clean skin and wear loose clothing. If you are having a body wax, it really helps to gently exfoliate the area in the shower beforehand. Ditch the Drinks! (and get hydrated) Pain is the number one concern of those who are about to have a waxing session. You can actually lessen the discomfort of waxing by staying away from caffeine and alcohol. Instead, drink plenty of water. Hydrated skin is happy skin! Exfoliate Exfoliation is the key to avoid ingrown hair. Exfoliate the day before your scheduled waxing. If you love baths, soak in the tub for thirty minutes. Drain away the bath water and use sugar scrub or any scrub you prefer using circular motion. Rinse. If you prefer to shower, use the same circular motion technique using a natural loofah. Using a loofah regularly is good way to to prevent ingrown hair. Take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen half an hour before your wax, if you are concerned. Please check with your doctor prior to taking any medication. Perform Routine Maintenance Regular hair waxing keeps you smooth and glowing all the time. Two to three months of waxing will result to finer hair, less hair growth and irritation. Remember, hair grows constantly, so waxing every four to six weeks will give 15-20 days free of hair. Research For those of you new to waxing, make sure that your esthetician is well-trained and experienced. The staff at Georgi’s undergoes continuing education to give you the best service. The Don'ts Do not exfoliate the face. Don’t wear any lotions or perfumes near the area to be waxed. These helpful tips go a long way in making sure that you get the best out of your waxing session from Georgi's.

In order to have a perfect wax the hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch -1/2 inch long. Everyone is different and so it all depends on your hair growth cycle. Generally speaking, it can take between 2.5 – 3.5 weeks for that length to grow out. Some experience easier waxing hair removal then others, depending on how coarse the hair is, and their skin sensitivity. The Technical Answer: Humans have three stages of hair growth: 1. Anagen 2. Catogen 3. Telogen When you think about hair growth, try to envision it like this: first, Anagen begins to come in and after about one week of Anagen growth, Catogen begins to take over. Around week three Telogen sets in and doesn’t complete its cycle for at least another week. There you have it. That is why you need to wait between three and four weeks for the hair to grow out for the perfect waxing experience.

We recommend calling 1-2 weeks in advance, as we do book up very fast. Occasionally, we may be able schedule appointments sooner, depending on appointment moves and cancellations.
