Went for my first Brazilian today and was very nervous about it but as soon as I got in there Georgi’s was so inviting and makes you feel right at home. I had never gotten one before and really did my research and Georgi seems to be the only Michigan Waxing studio that I would ever consider going to. She is very kind and if you’re worried its going to be awkward it is not in the least bit, I recommend this too all women and will definitely be handing out Georgi’s card to all my Model friends in Michigan!

I have been a regular at Georgi’s since being referred by a friend. I had a hard time finding the place on my first visit. It is at the bottom of the hill on Woodward in downtown Birmingham. It is also on the backside of the 600 building, with parking in a metered lot (coins only…but $0.30 is enough)
This place does not disappoint. The studio is very clean and spa like. Of course waxing is painful…but this place is not bad by waxing standards. I have always seen Amanda, who is very friendly and quick!
Prices are reasonable and you can save 5% by scheduling out your next appointment. This is advisable as the studio gets pretty busy.

I don’t mean to brag…but I am sort of an expert at Brazilian waxes (wait…is that even something to brag about?? oh well).
A little history for you. My husbands job used to be very mobile. We traveled all over the place. Lived in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago…etc etc. I am very anti-shaving so in every city I always had to find a good waxer. SO…needless to say I was waxed in many cities by many different people. Some were good…some were bad…but I definitely feel like I am at the point where I can refer to myself as a expert judge as to what a good waxer should be.
This was my first time at Georgi’s. I am a little upset that I did not know about her until now!
Her studio is very spa like. It is very clean, welcoming and relaxing. The second I walked in the door I was given a warm hello by Georgi and her receptionist.
Onto the waxing. There is no way to sugar coat a Brazilian wax. You are basically getting naked from the waist down and having hair ripped out from your most private of areas. But honestly….this really truly was one of the least painful Brazilians that this “expert” has ever had. Georgi is very fast and efficient and makes the whole experience as “un-awkward” as she can. She uses large waxing strips so the whole process goes a lot quicker….and when you are getting a bikini wax the quicker the better!
I also got my brows waxed when I was there. It is always very scary to get your brows done by a new person. The way your eyebrows are waxed can totally change the look of your face. Georgi was GREAT! My brows are kind of hard to work with as they are not very thick but she gave them a fabulous arch and I can’t stop looking at them in the mirror.
To cap it off, waxes here are relatively affordable AND she even has discounts for first time customers as well as repeat customers. Bonus!
Michigan is VERY lucky to have Georgi in the area. It is hard to find a waxer as good as her…so if you are looking to take the leap into Brazilian waxing (or any kind of waxing for that matter) contact Georgi…trust me. I am an expert after all!!!

So happy I tried Georgi while I was in town.
You know immediately when you walk in the inviting and spa-like studio that this is not your typical waxing place. They use fresh linens on the waxing table, have relaxing music and a calming/elegant decor.
Georgi is very nice, professional, and thorough. She makes even the dreaded bikini wax a breeze. I like how she uses large waxing strips to make the process go a lot faster. I was in and out in about 20 minutes! Hands down one of the best waxes I’ve ever had–and she’s reasonably priced! 
This will be my go-to for waxings in Michigan now. Thank you Georgi!!

This was by far the best waxing experience I have ever had in the 10 years I have been getting Brazilian waxes!
First off I was not familiar with the area, and forgot my phone, so I was 20 minutes late. Georgie and her receptionist were very understanding, and still fit me into their packed schedule.
The studio is very clean and warm, and Georgi made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Georgi worked quickly and was careful to get every hair. I was nervous about the waxing being more painful than usual because it was my first bikini wax since I have been pregnant, and I had been warned by many people that it would hurt more. To my surprise, it was one of the least painful waxes I have ever had!
The prices are VERY fair, I have paid way more for waxing in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles for waxes I was not as happy with. I made my appointment for my next wax before I left, and I am so excited to have found her!!
